Oregon started with the mandated minimum wage hikes several years ago. Our state's minimum wage is now at $8.40, with a mandated increase coming January 1. Our state's unemployment numbers are among the highest in the nation.
You guys post a lot of this stuff showing that Oregon has a good business climate or a low business tax burden. Fine. Assuming it is true there must be something else wrong. Every recession, we have a relatively higher unemployment rate
